It is normal for the camera to become slightly hot during operation due to high-quality video recording and GPS usage. This warmth is typical.

Setup & Installation

How to set up the RoadEye Dashcam DC04?

Front Camera:
Slide the mount into the mount installation slot.
Turn off the car engine.
Stick the camera with the mount onto your windshield.
Connect the USB charging cable to the Type C port of the dashcam and run the cable along the edge of the windshield.
Keep it away from the = airbag area and plug it into the car charger.
Adjust the dash cam so that the lens is level with the ground.
Start the engine to ensure the dash cam is working properly.

Rear Camera: Connect the DC jack to the AV IN port of the front dashcam. The rear camera video will appear PiP (Picture-in-Picture) on the front camera’s LCD screen. Refer to the User Manual for detailed instructions.

It requires a microSD card to record and continuously records when connected to a power source.

How does the camera handle full SD cards?
The device uses FIFO (First In, First Out), deleting the oldest recordings to make room for new footage.

What is the default video resolution of recordings on the RoadEye DC04?
By default, the camera records at 4K (front) + FHD (rear) + FHD (cabin) The resolution can be changed in the app or on the dash cam.
